Erin draws her inspiration from a blend of the essential aspects of Ashtanga Vinyasa, Iyengar, Viniyoga, Anusara, and Yin Yoga practices, as well as guided and silent meditations. Her classes are a creative, mindful synthesis of flowing postures and breath awareness. Erin teaches a creative Vinyasa Flow class. Her specialty is Yin Yoga: a strong practice that emphasizes long-held, but passive, asanas. The results are enhanced flexibility in the shoulders, hips and lower back as well as lightness and grace in the body. This profound and meditative practice balances all other activity, especially the more active "Yang" styles of Yoga. Erin's has been studying and practicing for 18 years and teaching for 9 years. Her instructor training was with renowned Yoga teachers Sarah Powers, Erich Schiffmann and Paul Grilley. Erin was certified by the prestigious British Wheel of Yoga in 2000. |
