Spain Retreat part II: The Silver Route to Salamanca

Arrival: MAY 2nd into CORDOBA

Departure: MAY 11th from SALAMANCA

After our welcome presentation and dinner on Tuesday, our arrival day, we will begin walking our Pilgrimage on Day 2.

We will walk a total of 7 days through the oak forests of Extremadura in a beautifully remote part of Spain to the Old Roman town of Mérida, which will be our base for 2 nights.

Our Mozárabe Pilgrim's Path meets with the Ruta de la Plata or The Silver Route, which stretched from Seville to Salmanca. The route follows an ancient Vía Romana which will wind us towards the UNESCO World Heritage town of Cáseres. We will be staying just outside the city in a rural retreat but will discover its charm on one very special evening in the Old Town.

With our minds set on the glorious University City of Salamanca we will enjoy 2 last days of our Pilgrimage through the sweeping landscapes of rural Spain. We will stay in a lovely hotel in a small town for 2 nights before our Celebratory Arrival into Salamanca with 1 night in our final urban hotel.

While on the Camino, Erin will lead special meditation and yoga sessions every afternoon before dinner to help us ease our bodies and process the deep and meaningful developments of our own personal Pilgrimage.
