HOLY YEAR PILGRIMAGE on the CAMINO de SANTIAGO: Part 2

HOLY YEAR PILGRIMAGE on the CAMINO de SANTIAGO: Part 2

The SILVER ROUTE from CÓRDOBA to SALAMANCA, SPAIN
April 8-16, 2027

WHEN THE CAMINO CALLS, IT'S TIME TO LISTEN!

Join us as our Camino experience continues with Part 2 of the Camino Mozárabe Trilogy! We will explore the Spain you never knew in a unique way by following ancient trails through some of the most arrestingly beautiful landscapes the country has to offer. Traditionally, the blessing of undertaking a pilgrimage is a calling. We will lead you away from the masses on a road less travelled, allowing you to reflect as you walk and fully embrace the meaning of the pilgrim’s experience. Reach a deeper level of understanding of Spain’s rich history and return home a changed person!

After our welcome presentation and dinner on arrival day in Córdoba, we will officially begin our Mozárabe Pilgrimage on Day 2. We will walk a total of 7 days through the oak forests of Extremadura in a very remote part of Spain to the Old Roman town of Mérida, which will be our base for 2 nights. Our Mozárabe Pilgrim's Path joins with the Ruta de la Plata (The Silver Route) which stretches from Seville to Salamanca. The route follows an ancient Vía Romana (Roman Road) as we wind our way towards the UNESCO World Heritage town of Cáceres. We will stay just outside the old city walls in an historic property. Walking the city late at night or early in the morning feels as if you’ve stepped back in time. With our minds set on the glorious University City of Salamanca, we will enjoy the last 2 days of our Pilgrimage walking through the sweeping landscapes of rural Spain. We will stay in a lovely hotel in a small town for 2 nights before our celebratory arrival into Salamanca, completing our journey with 1 final night in a fabulous hotel that once was a monastery, just a stone’s throw from Salamanca’s beautiful Plaza Mayor!

ACCOMMODATIONS & FOOD:

Pilgrimages don't have to mean roughing it! Manni, a resident of Spain and expert travel guide, pairs beautiful boutique accommodations with fabulous food and wine. Unique handpicked accommodations are chosen to give your Camino a touch of luxury: from cozy, authentic Spanish farmhouses to sumptuous hotels, we guarantee you a comfy bed to rest your head at the end of each memorable day's walk. Enjoy fantastic local food and wine at every stage of your journey, in a range of carefully selected, authentic restaurants along our route. Delicious full breakfasts and sumptuous dinners are included.

WALKING & WELLNESS:

We've combined walking with wellness to create a truly safe and healing experience for everyone. The addition of yoga and meditation is an intrinsic part of our pilgrimage. Together we will practice daily walking meditations, spontaneous Qigong in flower-filled fields, and afternoon Restorative and Yin yoga back at the hotel. This results in a fully immersive pilgrimage experience, and one in which the internal journey is equally as important as the external.

As an experienced team, Manni and Erin serve as encouragers, supporters and expert guides for every pilgrim, every step of the way. With no sense of urgency, we will walk an easy average of 8 miles per day. We want our pilgrims to feel they have time to connect with themselves and their environment without the pressure of rushing to complete each day's journey. And our comfy bus is always a phone call away in case the need arises to end your walk sooner.

SOLO PILGRIMS WELCOME:

Walking the Camino Mozárabe alone? We welcome solo travelers and are confident that hiking with us will provide you with personal connections that last a lifetime! (Although single rooms are very limited and sell-out quickly, we can also pair you with another solo traveler.)

TESTIMONIAL:

“I COULD NOT HAVE DREAMED UP A BETTER TRIP EXPERIENCE!”

“From the first moment I met up with Erin and Manni (who are the absolute dream team of travel guides), every detail was perfectly planned out...from transportation, accommodations, food and wine...each and every one unique and top notch. The Camino trek with the addition of yoga was an experience of a lifetime...a bucket list item, that now because of Erin and Manni, I am completely hooked! I thought it would be an item checked off a list, but what I realize is the Camino is now truly a part of me, and my need to return for more is undeniable. If you are considering a trip to Spain look no further, you will not be disappointed. The landscape and rich history will transport you back in time. The camaraderie and guidance of traveling on a shared path will help restore your soul. Thank you Manni and Erin for sharing your gifts with all of us. Buen Camino!” ~ Jennifer F
